What Do Affiliates Look For?

After spending months talking to affiliates and asking them to promote our Programmes, I think that it is time to ask the people who know the most, the affiliates, how they like to be contacted about new programmes and what exactly they are looking for.

I know that all affiliates are different, some like MSN, some like phone calls and some like emails, but what do you prefer? What information would it be useful to send you? Is just telling you the commission levels, EPCs, network and validation rates enough? I always try to offer any insight into the programme and how I see it working on each individual affiliates site. I know that affiliates do not like being pushed too much, but where do you draw the line?

Do incentives or competitions make you more likely to sign up to and promote a new programme? We have recently launched the Optimalprint Programme on Affiliate Window and Affiliate Future with a competition to win a £200 Expedia voucher. We always try to ensure that the contests are fair by offering one ‘ticket’ per sale to be entered into a draw. Is this the way that you want us to run our competitions?

Commission Changes, New Site Launches, and VAT being Lowered all in one Post!

So much news to tell everyone about.

Firstly, we have introduced a new commission structure to the Sleeping Solutions Programme on Affiliate Window. This has changed the old 6% flat commission into a new tiered commission. This means that they is now a possible 20% commission if you sell enough, but even the new lowest rate is 10%, making it one of the highest paying in the sector!

Vitamins Direct launched their new site last week which should be raising conversion rates. Couple this with the new 20% top commission tier and this programme is definitely one to be having a look at! Check the programme out on Affiliate Window.

Optimalprint have not only lowered their VAT from 25% to the standard UK 17.5% but they are also set to launch on Affiliate Window and Affiliate Future.  The programme is already live on CJ and Tracktor2 so now there is no excuse not to join the programme!  They offer some of the best online printing for anything from Business Stationery to Party Invitations available.
